Sarah Young

MBACP Counsellor

I am a qualified counsellor offering an empathic and confidential space to talk and reflect on issues you may be struggling with. Working with your narrative and what has brought you to counselling, I facilitate a safe and supportive opportunity for you to delve into areas of your life which may be affecting your current situation.
Areas I work with include health anxiety, relationship issues, identity development, emotional abuse, shame and guilt, bereavement and loss, work issues such as redundancy and bullying, anxiety, depression, confidence, low self-esteem, personal development, neurodiversity, migrant and expatriate issues. I have worked with cancer patients and their families, navigating the challenges around sudden changes to circumstances which can be traumatic and confusing.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, incorporating person-centred, cognitive behaviour therapy and existential theory.
I can offer short/long term or time-limited counselling, in-person or online, ages 16+
