Catherine Schille-Fuchs
MBACP, BA (Hons), Counsellor
As a relationally focused integrative counsellor, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to helping you find your own way forward. In our sessions, we’ll work together to untangle these feelings and find practical tools that help you feel more in control. My approach is warm and collaborative, focusing on creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts without judgment.
As an Integrative therapist, I have a variety of ways of working to suit your needs. Whatever personal challenge you are facing, depression, anxiety. grief, trauma (past or present), or relationship issues, I am here to listen and support you, and I have a passion for helping people empower themselves.
My overall aim is to help improve people’s quality of life and relationships.
I work with adults, for short- or long-term therapy.
I am bilingual and offer also sessions in French.
Experience
I volunteered as a counsellor at a sixth form college supporting young adults (16-18 years old) for a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicide ideation, learning difficulties, family and friendship issues, identity and low self-esteem.
I spent 4 years as a volunteer counsellor at a local mental health charity, providing counselling to adults for depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma related issues, loss and living with chronic illnesses.
At present, I am also working as a volunteer counsellor at a sexual trauma charity.
