Jeannette Bayliss

BACP Psychodynamic Counsellor

About Me

Experienced psychodynamic counsellor with a flexible approach offering weekly sessions for individuals, either short or long-term. I am particularly interested in the unconscious processes that shape your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. So in our sessions we will explore together:

  • what is happening in your life now
  • how experiences in your past may have shaped your response to what is happening
  • the way we interact in the sessions, and what that may tell us about your ways of relating to others

I am profoundly honoured by the trust and confidence that clients show me and I guarantee maximum discretion.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • MSc Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy (Birkbeck)
  • CertHE Counselling & Counselling Skills

I have worked in a general counselling service, in a student counselling service, and as part of a bereavement support team in a hospice.

My core training is psychodynamic. I am also very keen on the existential approach to therapy and mindful self-compassion.
