MBACP PGDip Integrative Counsellor
I am a qualified integrative relational counsellor, which enables me to work within a variety of theories and techniques to work with you to support you in finding what has meaning for you as an individual. I work to create a confidential, non-judgemental therapeutic space for you to explore what has brought you to this point, working at your own pace. By exploring this together you can gain insight and awareness, which can enable you to create positive changes in your life.
I work relationally and am committed to building a strong alliance that is both safe and challenging. I offer therapy in an affirming way and am committed to work within your own experience of adversity, diversity and relationships to find what is meaningful to you.
I believe that, as humans, we are shaped by our relationships
from our earliest attachments to our present lives. When relationships break down, or fail to give us what we need, this can have a big impact on our sense of self, make our lives difficult and affect our confidence. Counselling offers an opportunity to become more aware of past experiences and patterns of relating that may no longer serve you.
I am a member of the BACP and fully uphold their Ethical Framework and best practice guidance, to provide an ethical and safe therapeutic environment. For more information www.bacp.co.uk
I have worked as an integrative counsellor at a charity since the start of 2021. Before retraining as a counsellor I worked for many years in an NHS IAPT services for mental health.
