MBACP Counsellor

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where a loved one, a family member, a friend or work colleague asks you “How are you feeling”? you respond “I am feeling fine”, however in reality you are feeling tense, anxious, overwhelmed unable to relax, have a sense of dread or fearing for the worst but you don’t want to burden anyone with whatever may be troubling you so you go through life pretending everything is fine.

You don’t have to suffer in silence, I know that seeking therapy can be a scary step to take and may seem a little daunting.

This is where I can help, working together we can look at ways to help you feel at ease, to think more clearly and rationally, and look at situations in new less frightening ways.

I know from experience finding a counsellor that you feel comfortable with is extremely important, which is why I offer a free initial 20-minute Introduction call to give us the opportunity to begin to get to know each other, to get a better idea of the way I work and to answer any questions you may have.

My aim is to provide you with a safe confidential, non-judgemental space to talk freely about your innermost thoughts and feelings without fear of rejection to focus on what is happening for you right now and work collaboratively with you to navigate through the difficult times to accept who you are and reconnect with yourself.

Experience

I run a private practice in Thurrock as well as Online and telephone counselling, working with clients both on long and short term basis.

Alongside my private practice I am currently working with Evolve Counselling Services, a mental health charity providing online and telephone counselling to organisations, NHS and to those in the local community with presenting issues such as Anxiety, Low Self Esteem, Depression and work related issues.
I am also an affiliate counsellor working with EAP provider Health Hero counselling adults delivering structured short term solution focused counselling via telephone and online.

I volunteered with the mental health charity Mind for two years and continued to work with them once I qualified continuing to deliver one to one counselling sessions face to face and telephone to vulnerable adults, focusing on a variety of presenting issues.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association for the Counselling and Psychotherapy), and I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework. I attend regular clinical supervision to support my work and invest in my continued professional and personal development to enhance my knowledge and further develop my skills by conducting research, attending seminars and courses.
