MBACP

I am a qualified integrative counsellor/ therapist who is passionate about providing people with a warm, empathic space. I have experience working with individual clients facing a wide range of issues including anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship issues.

I use an integrative therapeutic approach, which means I can offer therapy to suit each individual’s needs. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the work – research has shown that the relationship between client and counsellor is paramount in how successful the therapy is. This is why it is so important to find the right therapist for you.

I offer a space without judgement in which you can explore the issues that have brought you to therapy, where you can feel fully heard.

How it works

You can decide how to use the sessions and what you wish to bring to therapy. We might explore how something from your past is impacting your present, something that’s been bothering you this week, a relationship you’re struggling with, or anything else that’s on your mind and you would like to share. Perhaps something from your childhood is affecting how you relate with people in the present day, or unhelpful patterns repeat in your life.

Whatever struggle you’re facing, I’m able to provide a safe space in which we can work through these issues together and find a way for you to move forward in your life with more peace, contentment and fulfilment.

I know from personal experience that counselling can be a challenging journey, but an immensely rewarding one.
Please feel free to contact me for a free initial 15-minute phone call to see if I could be the right therapist for you. I see clients in person at The Eaves in Farnham.

Experience

Alongside my work in private practice, I have worked as a counsellor for charities offering open-ended counselling, and as a mentor for a charity that supports refugees.

I also work with corporate clients on wellness programmes, teaching employees CBT techniques to help support their mental wellbeing.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I ran my own business for almost a decade. After selling it, I decided I wanted to pursue something that felt more meaningful, and returned to my earlier passion for psychology, retraining as a therapist. I am therefore also passionate about supporting people facing demanding work environments.
