MAMT
A fully accredited Psychotherapist and Music Psychotherapist, with over 13 years of experience, my passion is using creativity to help clients move forwards with positivity. I gained an MA in Music Psychotherapy in 2009 and set up my own creative therapies practice in 2016.
Meraki Creative Therapies uses a creative and integrative approach to clinical psychological interventions, and combines verbal approaches with arts therapy to a diverse client base that includes both children and adults. Alongside conducting clinical placements, I also manage assessments and referrals, as well as conduct supervision work.
My work has been wide-ranging, encompassing community, corporate and education. This can take the form of such things as workplace choirs, workshops, both individual/group psychotherapy and mental health days, as well as ‘walk and talk’ therapy. I have also worked with family groups as well as on an individual basis.
My most recent group work includes facilitating group psychotherapy for adults with personality disorders for Mind. In addition to an end of life therapeutic intervention programme at Shooting Stars, I have worked with ethnic minorities through Guildford Nurseries. My work at St Bernards was as part of the Forensic Psychiatry team, in both group and individual situations. I am currently working privately as a psychotherapist.
