Richard Hereward

MBACP Integrative Therapist

I am a qualified Therapist, and I specialise in working with alcoholism and addiction, providing help and support with a variety of addiction issues. I offer a safe, confidential and professional environment for people to explore their difficulties and ultimately make positive changes in their lives.

We all face challenges in life, whether it be moving away from destructive behaviours, learning to manage complex emotions, working through family or relationship issues, or simply dealing with the varying and often conflicting demands everyday life can bring. I work with clients to help them identify their goals and move towards positive and sustainable solutions.

I draw upon a variety of therapeutic approaches which enable me to effectively meet the individual needs of the clients I work with. I am experienced at working with issues such as alcoholism and all forms of addiction. if you would like to contact me to discuss how we might work together to resolve any issues you may be facing, please do so in confidence, and we can arrange an initial meeting and assessment. From there we can discuss how best to proceed. Having your issues heard in a non-judgmental environment is often vital for initiating the process of change.

Experience

Alongside my private practice I work at a leading private addictions treatment centre in Surrey. I also work at an addictions Agency in Richmond – ASCA – which provides counselling and support services for alcoholics and addicts as well as carers and family members. I have long experience of working with individuals who are struggling with addiction and other issues, as well as with family members who also often need support.
