Olivia Stewart

MBACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist

Hello, I’m Olivia. I am an Integrative practitioner offering counselling and psychotherapy in person in the Haslemere, Surrey area.

Let’s be honest: sometimes life is tough. We work our absolute hardest and it feels like it’s never enough. We give so much of ourselves to other people yet often we feel alone. We spend so much time either worrying about our future or regretting the past that we forget to live in the now. Sometimes things happen in our lives that are not our fault, and we have no choice to pick up the pieces.

Counselling can offer a non-judgmental, neutral space to reflect and explore what’s going on. Counselling cannot in itself change a person’s circumstances, but with work from both client and counsellor, it can be transformative, and change can happen as a result. I am here to provide that space where you do not feel alone, and together we can find that piece of hope for you to move forward.

I am BACP registered and work with young people (11-17) and adults (18+) both long and short term. I have a counselling office with The Eaves in Haslemere which offers a comfortable safe space. Currently availability is Thursday evenings however other times may become available so please do enquire.

My work is underpinned by the Clarkson Relational Psychotherapy framework, with a particular emphasis on the therapeutic discipline of Transactional Analysis.

I help people to understand what their Life Script has been and what subsequent psychological games we unknowingly play. I integrate the use of creative methods like art making and sand tray as part of my approach. Creative process can be a useful medium for self expression and compliments verbal therapy. For some people, although we want to be understood, talking can be scary. Creative and artistic tools can help to uncover what’s going on for us when the words can’t be found.

I work on the ethos that not one fit is best for all, and whilst my style can be tailored, what is unwavering is that this work will be collaborative, and my support will be unwavering. A relational approach is what will be the catalyst for healing and change.
