Experience
Currently, I work with government-led inquiries and victim support services for survivors of sexual violence and abuse, providing trauma-informed care in highly sensitive environments. I also offer counselling through the NHS IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) program, supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
Previously, I have provided counselling within an NHS GP surgery, supporting patients with a range of mental health challenges. I have facilitated support groups for women experiencing post-natal depression, as well as led groups for adults (16+) struggling with depression. Additionally, I have supported individuals receiving end-of-life care, those with terminal illnesses, and families coping with difficult diagnoses.
I have also worked as a staff counsellor within the NHS, providing mental health support to healthcare professionals. Furthermore, my experience includes working in a secure psychiatric unit, where I supported both adolescents and adults dealing with severe mental health conditions and personality disorders.
This diverse experience has allowed me to provide compassionate, specialist support in trauma, abuse, and complex mental health needs, helping individuals process their experiences and regain a sense of control over their lives.
I provide trauma-informed psychological support in high-profile government-led public inquiries, working with survivors, families, witnesses, and even perpetrators impacted by significant national events. I have supported high-profile witnesses and government ministers in inquiries such as the Grenfell Tower Tragedy, Post Office Inquiry, Brook House Public Inquiry, COVID-19 Inquiry, Angiolini Inquiry, Undercover Policing Inquiry, and Lampard Inquiry.
Due to my expertise, I have been called upon to provide in-person support across the UK, including Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, working with individuals, families, and groups to ensure those affected by traumatic events receive the care and understanding they need.
Alongside this, I specialise in supporting survivors of sexual violence and abuse, delivering trauma-informed care in highly sensitive environments. Through my work with victim support services, I help individuals navigate the psychological and emotional impact of their experiences, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and a path to healing.
