My experiences have taught me how emotional experiences impact our choices, relationships and health. I integrate a range of perspectives from psychotherapy to neuroscience to astrology and holistic models of health which strive for balance in all areas of life so that the body and mind can come back to their natural state of self-regulation, which is ultimately what I want for you.
I believe our symptoms often hold important messages. With the right support, they can guide powerful growth. I bring deep expertise and hard-won life experience to help you reconnect with your inner compass. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that have shaped your life, helping you understand your story and make meaningful change, so that you can embrace a life full of authentic connection and possibility – showing up fully for yourself and those you love.
I have a great capacity for acknowledging difficulties whilst holding the possibility of a more positive place. This kind of support is for people feeling stuck, in moments of crisis, as well as those who are looking for more support. You don’t need to be feeling unwell or wrestling with a specific problem to come to therapy. I see therapy as a valuable tool for personal development.
Gestalt therapy uses your experience to guide the therapy. This process of self-discovery can support you to feel and be more authentically you. Our minds and bodies are connected and I will support you to develop your ability tune into your body to develop a greater understanding of yourself.
You are the agent of change. I’ll support you to recognise the steps you can take towards the changes you’re seeking. Creativity can be a powerful way to deepen your understanding of your experience I will support you to find more freedom, flexibility and spontaneity by and experimenting with new ways of being – opening up a world of new possibilities.
As a Gestalt psychotherapist, I’ve completed 6 years of specialist training at the Metanoia Institute and am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I’ve worked with clients in community counselling services since 2020, including Mind and one of the largest psychotherapy research clinics in Europe.
As well as a Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy, I have a Post-Graduate Certificate in People and Organisation Development and a Master’s degree in Public Policy. I care deeply about the health and wellbeing of individuals, organisations and communities.
Experience
I have experience working with clients dealing with change, navigating life shocks and unexpected crises experiencing relationship challenges and conflict unravelling stories from their childhood and family background dealing with estrangement, losses and grief working through trauma and abuse and those feeling stuck and uncertain, experiencing anxiety or seeking more support.
Many of my current and recent clients are women with ADHD or ASD diagnoses and I’m interested in how societal structures have shaped what we perceive is “normal.” I believe that symptoms are a consequence of a range of factors and am curious in the complex underlying relational, environmental and biological processes.
I’ve worked with clients in community counselling services since 2020, including Mind and one of the largest psychotherapy research clinics in Europe. I’ve worked with clients with diagnosed mental health conditions such as EUBPD. I view symptoms as an adaptive response and offer the opportunity to work through past experiences for greater relief in the present.
