Whatever challenges you are facing having a safe space to talk openly without fear of judgement can help you to make sense of your experience and find a way to move forward in your life. I am a warm compassionate counsellor with experience of supporting adults who are struggling with a range of issues including anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, addiction, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, perfectionism, procrastination, relationship struggles, co-dependency, people pleasing, and stressful work situations.
Every counselling journey is unique, you may want a few sessions to help manage a specific issue or to spend longer exploring and making sense of your experience, it’s up to you how long you would like to work together. I use a person centred approach which I adapt to meet your unique needs by drawing on various humanistic counselling theories to help you understand yourself, overcome your challenges, and find your way to a more authentic and satisfying life. We will review our work together regularly to ensure that we continue to meet your needs.
My first priority is to develop a trusting relationship in which you feel heard, understood and accepted allowing you to develop a compassionate curiosity towards yourself. Together we will explore the thoughts and feelings driving your behaviour, helping you to develop the self-awareness that will allow you to identify what needs to change in your life.
Reaching out for help can feel difficult, I offer a free, 30 minute initial phone call so that we can discuss your challenges and hopes for counselling, and you can decide whether you would feel comfortable working together.

Experience
I retrained as a counsellor to pursue my long-standing interest in human wellbeing after working as a veterinary surgeon and animal health researcher while raising a family. My experience as a neurodivergent woman balancing work and family life has helped me to develop a deeper understanding of some of the challenges that my clients face.
Before working in private practice, I volunteered in a number of settings
• Anxiety and depression self-help group facilitator (Cornerhouse, Woking)
• Bereavement support worker (Cruse bereavement care, Guildford)
• Volunteer counsellor (MCPS counselling service, London)
• Volunteer counsellor (University of Surrey centre for wellbeing, Guildford)
• Volunteer counsellor (The Eaves low cost counselling service, Guildford)
As a BACP registered counsellor I adhere to their code of ethics and undertake regular training to keep up to date with developments in counselling approaches. I also attend regular supervision with an experienced counsellor to ensure that I provide the best possible service to my clients.
