Kathryn Oswald
MBACP Counsellor
I work with people navigating life’s challenges—whether that’s grief, big life changes, relationship struggles, self-doubt, substance misuse or feeling stuck in self-limiting patterns. I’m passionate about building strong, trusting relationships where clients can feel accepted, understood, and gently supported to explore whatever feels important to them.
My experience covers a range of areas, with particular focus on supporting people affected by substance misuse, whether directly or through a loved one. I also work with anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship challenges, helping clients build resilience, self-acceptance and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
My role is to offer you a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever feels important, at your own pace. I’ll meet you as you are—with warmth, honesty, and openness—and together we can begin to untangle the thoughts and feelings that may feel overwhelming or stuck right now.
Experience
I have been with Catalyst (Guildford) since January 2024, providing therapeutic counselling to clients facing a wide range of issues, with particular focus on those impacted by substance misuse. I have also worked with clients both online and face to face through the organisation I’m All Ears in the Petersfield and Bordon areas. Before training as a counsellor, I worked in the creative industries—experience that continues to shape my perspective and enrich my ability to understand and connect with others.
