How I Can Help

I am a relational integrative therapist working with teenagers, young adults, and adults experiencing a wide range of challenges. These may include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, exam stress, relationship difficulties, loneliness, people-pleasing, self-harm, or identity exploration. I have a particular interest in supporting young people and adults who are navigating the unique pressures of an increasingly fast paced and demanding world.

My approach is tailored to your individual needs and is grounded in curiosity, compassion and collaboration. Together, we can explore how past experiences may be shaping your present day thoughts, feelings, and relationships, or we can focus on your here and now.

You might be wondering:

  • How come life feels harder than it used to when I’m not sure what’s changed?
  • How can I become more confident in setting boundaries?
  • Why do I find myself repeating the same patterns?
  • Who am I beneath other people’s expectations?

You may be considering therapy following a significant life event, relationship breakdown, loss, or perhaps your world feels as though it has been turned upside down. Some people come to therapy with a clear goal in mind, while others want a space to explore what it is they’re experiencing. Whatever brings you to therapy, I will meet you where you are. I aim to provide a space to walk alongside you, offer gentle challenge, and create opportunities for reflection and growth. There is also room for humour, if that’s your vibe.

I can support you to:

  • Understand and manage anxiety, panic, low mood, or depression
  • Recognise and work through unhelpful patterns of thinking and relating
  • Navigate the impact of bullying, societal pressures, or family expectations
  • Address feelings of shame, guilt, inadequacy, or self criticism
  • Process past or present experiences that are impacting your day to day life
  • Build resilience and increase tolerance for difficult emotions
  • Understand protective coping strategies that may no longer be serving you
  • Explore neurodivergence, (diagnosed, self identified, or questioned)

How I Practice

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, and attachment-based theories. My work is also informed by developmental theory, which considers the challenges and transitions we encounter throughout different stages of life.

Therapy with me is collaborative, engaging, and sometimes creative (if that’s something you’d like to explore; no artisitic ability required, promise!). Whilst talking forms an important part of the process, therapy doesn’t have to mean sitting face to face for 50 minutes. Sometimes exploration has more space to breathe when your hands are busy. Either way, together, we can find approaches that feel comfortable, meaningful, and effective for you. My hope is that sessions feel like a space where you don’t have to perform or pretend.

Some of the ways we might work together may include:

  • Inner child work
  • Creative Visualisations
  • Sand tray
  • Values exploration
  • Drawing whilst talking
  • Psychoeducation
  • Using Metaphors and storytelling
  • Games (Uno is elite and this is one of the few opinions I probably won’t encourage you to challenge)

Above all, I believe there is no one size fits all approach to therapy. The therapeutic relationship sits at the heart of the work, and together we will create a space that feels supportive, authentic, and responsive to your needs.

When I Work

I offer in person sessions at The Eaves in Farnham on Thursdays (daytime and evenings), as well as some Fridays.

Next Steps

Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. Because the relationship we build together is central to the work, I offer a free 20 minute introductory phone call. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, explore whether we might be a good fit, and answer any questions you may have.

If you’d like to arrange an initial conversation, you can contact me using the details below.

Experience

I previously volunteered for Youthline, a counselling service based in Bracknell that provides therapy to young people and those who care for them. There, I supported clients over the course of 16 months, offering both long term and short term counselling with presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, low self esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties and school-related challenges.

I have over 6 years of experience working in the mental health sector and hold a Mental Health First Aid Certificate provided by MHFA, England, as well as an Enchanced DBS check.

Prior to training to be a Counsellor, I volunteered with ‘Shout’, a crisis text based service, supporting young people and adults with suicidal thoughts and emotional distress. Alongside this, I also supported victims of crime as part of a victim and witness care unit.

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am currently in the process of completing a BA in Integrative Counselling, endorsed by Middlesex University.
