About Me
Welcome. What would it be like if you woke up tomorrow and everything was better? As a therapist, I love to help people imagine that answer.
I’m a BACP accredited therapist with over 20 years experience working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, confidence building, anger management, bereavement and much more. I specialise in trauma related issues eg: PTSD, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
I welcome all age groups over 18 and can offer prompt appointments at a time to suit you.
Our work may be short or long term. I use a range of therapies including solution focused therapy, elements of CBT and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) and longer term in-depth work. So I tailor my approach to meet your needs in a collaborative way. But maybe you just want a safe space to be listened to and that is also fine. Just talking things through can help you see a situation much clearer.
Clients tell me I’m non judgemental, warm and “user friendly”!

Experience
I have a broad experience working with individuals with a wide range of issues.
I have worked with Victim Support as a counsellor for seven years, specialising in domestic violence and sexual abuse for both female and male victims.
I also have extensive experience of working with traumatised clients from overseas working within a rehabilitation centre in London for the survivors of ill-treatment from overseas: eg Africa, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan. This complex work involves many issues common to all of us – in particular bereavement, loss of job and status in life, loss of self-esteem, loss of country, depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress. I have a deep understanding of other cultures and work well with interpreters.
