Oskari Pentikainen

MBACP Counsellor

I offer safe and compassionate space for you to explore your concerns, and to gain deeper understanding and new ways of being.

Counselling is a personal journey. My outlook is that you have the necessary guidance and potential for growth and healing waiting to be revealed. Looking within is not always easy as we are rarely taught to be open and vulnerable.

I am here to support and be beside you on that journey. I believe that life’s challenges, old or new, can be possibilities or invitations if you like for self-exploration, evolution and further wholeness.

I work with adults 18+. My model is relational and integrative meaning that I put emphasis on how we relate with one another in the room and life in general, and draw on several approaches (incl. psychodynamic, humanistic, transactional, wisdom traditions). Ultimately, we jointly create our space to best meet your needs.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Before becoming a counsellor and a fostering Social Worker, I worked in peace mediation and people affected by violent conflicts for over a decade. My offering combines professional qualifications and experience, and in-depth explorations of the light and dark inherent to each of us.

I offer an initial free 20min telephone consultation during which we explore your hopes from counselling, circumstances and how we resonate with one another. In our first session, we will explore your present and past life circumstances in more detail to understand if and how we can work together.
