Elaine Webb

Integrative Counsellor BA (Hons.) Dip. Couns. MBACP

If you are used to performing at a fast pace and or high level, it can be hard to slow down long enough to notice how much pressure you are under. I specialise in working with clients who may find themselves juggling complex realities and responsibilities at home, school and/or work. Finding themselves in demanding environments that sometimes come with the quiet expectation to “just cope.”

My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapeutic methods, but flexible to meet you or your child where you/they are, whether it is a space to reflect, a supportive structure or more creative ways to explore what maybe lies beneath the surface. Together, we will collaborate to make room for clarity, steadiness, and a way of being that feels more aligned to your values and needs.

About Me

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent twenty years as a brand strategist helping large organisations understand who they are, what they stand for, and how to drive growth with integrity. Beyond my counselling diploma, I also hold a BA (Hons) in Communications with a Minor in Psychology. This early training deepened my interest in people and relationship dynamics, and laid the foundations for the work I do now as a counsellor and consultant.

At the Eaves, I offer one-to-one counselling with mostly teenagers (15+) and adults, creating a space where they can pause, breathe, and make sense of what’s going on for them. My clients often tell me they value the feeling of being genuinely and fully seen.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am in the process of working towards my BACP Accredited status, remaining committed to my ongoing learning, supervision, and ethical practice.

Who I Support

Professionals and those navigating major life transitions and events

I mostly work with professionals who are carrying a lot, at work, at home, and often quietly within themselves. Many come to therapy looking for stress management, describing burnout symptoms, performance anxiety, an inability to ‘switch off’ and a sense that life overall feels ‘too much’. In our sessions, we slow things down and make space for what maybe has been held inside for too long, offering a safe, steady, supportive space where you can talk openly, feel understood and begin to regain a sense of balance.

I also support people who are recently retired, a transition that can bring unexpected shifts in identity, purpose, and emotional rhythm. Whether you are stepping back from a demanding career or adjusting to a new chapter of life, counselling can offer a space to understand what this change means for you.

Overall, my approach is grounded in person-centred and psychodynamic principles and relies on evidence-based therapeutic methods. I work flexibly and creatively with the aim to meet you where you are, inviting you into a reflective space, where you feel safe enough to explore alternative ways of coping/being, as well as what may be beneath the surface. Together, we collaborate to make room for clarity, steadiness, and a way of being that feels more aligned with your values and needs.

Teenagers and young adults

I also work with young people who are navigating the intensity of adolescence, academic pressure, social challenges, emotional overwhelm, or the struggle to understand who they are becoming. Many find themselves in demanding environments at school or home, carrying expectations that feel heavy or unspoken.

Using an integrative, developmentally attuned approach, I combine evidence-based methods with creative tools such as drawing, visual prompts, and narrative work, to enable young people to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. Weekly sessions can provide a calm, consistent space where they can feal heard and explore their emotional experience, build confidence, and healthy ways of coping.

How I Work

Counselling with me isn’t about fixing things, it’s about understanding things on a deeper level. I believe this is core to enable emotional processing and decision-making that feels more in line with you at your core. Sessions with me are a gentle invitation, never a pressure, to connect and collaborate therapeutically, in a way that is attuned, grounded and at your pace. You will find that I am gentle but honest, curious without being intrusive, and always guided by what feels safe and helpful for you.

I am trained in trauma‑informed practice, which means I work with sensitivity to how past experiences, whether overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to name, can influence present‑day feelings, behaviours, and relationships. It means that prioritising safety, session pacing, and collaboration remain central to how I support you.

My ongoing CPD in areas such as neurodivergence, bereavement, menopause, suicide prevention, and creative arts in counselling supports me in working in a way that is flexible, responsive, and developmentally attuned.
