Dr Simona Chereji

Chartered Clinical Psychologist

About Me

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and I have more than 11 years’ experience in clinically working in academic, forensic, NHS and private settings, both in the UK and overseas. The clients I have been working with are adults and young adults.

Currently, alongside my private practice I work in the NHS in a secondary care service (CMHRS), where I provide psychological intervention for people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

The core value of my work is the use of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to meet my clients’ needs. The main therapeutical model I work with is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I eclectically integrate the principles of other therapeutical approaches such as Rational-Emotive and Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Solution-focused Brief Therapy. I am interested in being up to date with the latest outcomes in clinical research relating to psychological disorders and intervention models.
