You may never have shared a space in which it is safe to give a voice to your feelings, thoughts, experiences and behaviours. You may have buried them deep down in order to meet other people’s expectations, whether your partner, boss, parents, children, friends or society.
However, how you feel inside no longer reflects the image of yourself you portray to others, you have become disconnected from yourself, lacking a sense of identity outside of the many roles we take on as adults, and feel like something needs to change.
You may understand when and where this all started, a life event or experience you can name. But it is also not uncommon if you cannot pinpoint a reason or a moment in time, you just feel as if something isn’t quite right. I get it, and more importantly I can support you as you uncover and express what is keeping you stuck, enabling you to find a way forward using the courage and resilience that brought you here.
How I can support you
After a 28-year corporate career, I retained as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist supporting you to:
• Express and process feelings of anger, guilt, shame
• Uncover the patterns keeping you stuck
• Find a way forward from low mood, depression and anxiety
• Explore your relationships and make sense of your relational patterns
• Rediscover your self-worth, confidence and sense of identity
• Establish healthy boundaries and relationships at work and in life
• And much more.
Recent clients have needed support with:
• Anxiety and depression
• Grief, complex grief and loss
• Life with a hidden disability and later life diagnosis, including ADHD
• PTSD
• Stress and burnout
• Trauma including sexual and domestic abuse, medical trauma and vicarious trauma from working in Blue Light roles
As the last decade of my corporate career was in a senior HR role, I have a deep appreciation of the impact of work and our working environment on our mental health, relationships, confidence, stress and anxiety levels no matter the role you do, level you have reached or industry you have worked in. If you are facing work related challenges, I can support you in this area too.
