Rowena Scriven

MBACP Dip HE Integrative Counselling

Welcome — I’m Rowena, a qualified integrative counsellor offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel supported.

I work with adults over 18 who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or going through a difficult time. I specialise in grief and loss, relationship challenges, anxiety, low self-worth, or life transitions such as separation, menopause, or changes in identity. Whatever brings you to counselling, we can collaboratively work through the problems and come to some solutions.

How I work

I offer counselling online for flexibility and accessibility. My approach is integrative, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. At the heart of our work will be a strong, trusting relationship — a space where you can feel safe, seen and heard. I can offer long-term or short-term counselling to suit your individual requirements, and I can also offer single-session therapy, which is a 2-hour session in which you can bring anything you feel you need some help or guidance with. These sessions are similar to life coaching, where we work more in the here and now. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for good practice.

Each single session is 50 minutes, and takes place Online or at The Eaves in Godalming.

There are many advantages of working online, including flexibility and accessibility, but also research has shown that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy.

Experience

As well as my work here at The Eaves, I have worked at Lighthouse Counselling in Kent for the last 4 years. This work has involved supporting Online and Face to face clients with a wide range of issues.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and committed to ongoing professional development. I regularly update my CPD and clinical supervision, and I’m experienced in supporting clients through complex emotional issues with sensitivity and care.

What to expect next

If you’re considering counselling, the first step is to get in touch via the send enquiry button on this page. I’ll respond as soon as I can to arrange a free 20-minute phone call, where we can explore what you’re looking for and whether I’m the right fit for you.

You don’t have to go through this alone. Counselling can be a gentle but powerful way to make sense of your feelings, gain clarity, and begin to move forward at your own pace.
