Nicole Haegeman
MSc., BPC, MBACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I work with the deeper, often unconscious processes that shape how we think, feel and relate to others. Rather than focusing on quick solutions, therapy offers a steady, confidential space to explore what is going on beneath the surface and to develop greater understanding and emotional clarity over time.
I offer a thoughtful, and respectful therapeutic relationship, where we can begin to notice patterns, make links between past and present experiences, and create space for new ways of responding to life. The work can be short-term (typically 3–6 months) or longer-term and open-ended, depending on what feels most appropriate for you.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties and life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with chronic illness, changes around motherhood and sense of self, and experiences of grief. I offer an LGBTQI affirming therapeutic space.
Experience
I have experience of working with long-term patients in the NHS, and community counselling services.
