Lucy Todd

Psychodynamic therapist, BSc Hons, Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, MBACP

I have worked with a wide variety of people with many different issues, and understand everyone has a unique life experience and in turn needs a unique therapeutic environment. I am committed to providing the right therapy for each individual to get the experience they need from sessions.
I work Psychodynamically, this is an open-ended therapeutic approach with a focus on what you choose to bring to each session. Together we can explore whatever is important to you, with a focus on the unconscious and underlying causes. This could take the form of discussing your childhood, dreams, relationships, thought patterns or simply anything you need to express. As your therapist I will bring attention to patterns I observe as well as acknowledging what you have been dealing with, but the sessions are lead by you to get from them what you need.
Sessions occur weekly for as long as you need them to.

Experience

I have worked at a Priory for eating disorders and addictions for over 5 years.
I also worked for 2 years as a therapist for Care to Listen, a low-cost counselling agency in Croydon.
