Are you feeling overwhelmed? Perhaps you’re struggling with relationships, experiencing a sense of loss or despair, or seeking to understand yourself more deeply. Life’s challenges can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, uncertain, or alone. Whatever you’re facing, I’m here to support you and help you explore new perspectives and possibilities.
My approach to therapy is rooted in genuine empathy and compassion. I don’t just listen – I actively engage with you to help you move forward. Through gaining an understanding of who we are, reasons behind the way we react to situations and relationships in our lives, we can become more resilient to the changes and challenges life inevitably brings.
I understand that seeking support can be a big step and, in our sessions, you and your wellbeing will be at the centre of our work together. I aim to create a caring and confidential space where you can talk about anything in your life that may be uncomfortable, confusing or painful without fear of judgement.
Building a strong, authentic connection with you is at the heart of my practice because I understand that meaningful change often happens within the context of a trusting relationship and as an integrative trained therapist, I adapt my interventions to your unique needs, drawing on different ways of working.
If my profile speaks to you, please get in touch via email or text to arrange an initial conversation.
This conversation is free of charge and typically lasts between 20-30 minutes. During this time we’ll cover the following:
– What you’re currently finding challenging and how it’s impacting your life
– A brief look at your background, including any important experiences or aspects of your life that feel relevant to share
– Any previous experience with therapy
– Your expectations and hopes for therapy
– An explanation of how I work and what you can expect from our sessions
– An opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have
– Find a time that suits us both and, if we feel like we’re a good fit, we can go ahead and schedule our next sessions
Following a 15 year career in the marketing/communications industry for well-known brands and a further 15 years as founder of a creative agency where mentoring people was a much loved part of my role, I re-trained as an integrative psychotherapist/counsellor.
I have supported clients with a range of challenges including anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, low self-esteem, depression, ADHD and relationship issues.
Working ethically and responsibly is important to me. As a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) I adhere to their code of Ethics. I have regular supervision and ongoing training to ensure I’m supported in my role, allowing me to offer you the best support throughout our work together.
