Jaqueline Bond

CBT Therapist, PGDip, MSc, MBACP

I am a Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) therapist providing assessment and treatment for mental health conditions. I seek to bring empathy, understanding and compassion in my work with adults and young people (16+ years). Areas of expertise include therapy for depression, low self-esteem and anxiety disorders.

My approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This evidence-based practice is recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) for the treatment of anxiety and depression. I provide therapy for a range of psychological issues, including depression, low self-esteem, general anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic disorder and trauma (PTSD). I have a flexible approach to the length of psychotherapy depending on your needs, ranging from 6 to 20 sessions.

In session, I provide a safe space for you to explore and examine the aspects of your life that are troubling you and assist you in defining your therapeutic goals. I will actively support you to examine problematic thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We will collaborate to develop alternative ways for you to manage your life and alleviate your issues. My ultimate goal is to help you to become your own therapist.

Experience

My clinical experience involved working in the charity sector, counselling teenagers and young adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I specialised in supporting young clients navigating personal issues arising post-COVID, during the transition to adulthood. Working collaboratively, I helped clients address mental health difficulties arising from depression, PTSD/Trauma, social anxiety, health anxiety, OCD and panic disorder. Additionally, I provided support for adults across multiple life stages, experiencing a broad range of conditions, including depression, low self-esteem, various anxieties, emotional and physical abuse and trauma.

My Background

Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I worked in the corporate sector in a technical role. Working in a dynamic, competitive environment deepened my understanding of the importance of mental health awareness and self-care for building resilience and maintaining well-being. I bring this experience and emotional sensitivity to my practice
