Dr Anna Weller, Clinical Psychologist, DClinPsy, PGCert, MSc, BSc (Hons)
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with many years of experience in both NHS and private practice. I am deeply passionate about supporting people to rediscover their strength and resilience, and my therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a genuine belief in the potential for healing and growth.
I understand that turning towards your difficulties in therapy can feel frightening and I strive to create a compassionate and warm environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. I specialise in working with adults who have experienced trauma but enjoy supporting people experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety and mood disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship issues, and difficulties in managing emotions and stress. My approach is integrative, drawing on evidence-based therapy models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My approach is tailored to your unique experiences and needs, ensuring that you feel heard and validated throughout the process.
My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where you can explore the impact of your past and current experiences without judgment. I will listen with compassion and curiosity, helping you to process your experiences at your own pace.
With a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I have a wealth of experience working in both the NHS and private sector. In the NHS I enjoyed clinical and senior leadership roles specialising in supporting people who have experienced trauma and veterans experiencing mental health difficulties. I am currently enjoying focussing solely on my private practice.
