At points in life, we can all feel lost or overwhelmed by our thoughts, feelings and experiences. Sometimes it’s difficult to talk to the people around us about what we’re going through, and we can be left feeling less able to cope.
Within a collaborative therapeutic relationship, you can find new perspectives and a greater understanding of yourself, your past experiences, your relationships and the challenges life presents you with. I am committed to providing you with a non-judgemental, confidential, empathetic and supportive environment, where together we can work towards lasting change and a more fulfilling life.
My counselling approach is integrative, which means I draw from a number of counselling theories to tailor my work with you as a unique individual. I aim to be flexible and dynamic in my approach to our work together.
Prior to qualifying as a therapeutic counsellor, I worked for 20 years with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds in areas such as problematic behaviours, relationships, substance misuse, mental health, anger management, thinking skills and problem solving.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I adhere to their ethical and practice guidelines, keep up to date with new research, undertake regular further training in my professional development and attend supervision. I hold a clear, enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
I offer a free 30 minute zoom or phone consultation where we will have an opportunity to meet each other and you can get a feel for how I work.
My counselling practice in Farnham is on the borders of Hampshire and Surrey and I am easily accessible from Camberley, Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot, Lightwater, Sandhurst, Basingstoke, Godalming, Guildford, Woking, Liphook and Bordon. I offer a comfortable, private and purpose build therapeutic space for us to meet in.
Previously worked with Sandhurst Counselling Service.
