Henal Vyas
MBACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Hello, I’m Henal and I am a BACP Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Who I work with:
You might be feeling stuck in familiar patterns and relationship dynamics or experiencing anxious thoughts. Perhaps you are navigating a change in your life circumstances or are struggling with your identity and want to feel more able to be your authentic self.
I have worked with clients experiencing a variety of issues and circumstances, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, loss, grief and bereavement, panic attacks, neurodiversity, chronic pain, health anxiety, work stress, difficult family dynamics, relationship issues, navigating disability, racial trauma, cultural and multi-cultural identity. I work with adults 18+.
How I work:
At the core of my practice is offering a compassionate space of connection and authenticity, where I strive to help you feel safe, valued and able to bring all parts of yourself. I appreciate that it takes courage to seek support, especially in times of difficulty. I believe that making sense of the past can have a significant impact on our lives in the present, so together we will go at your pace to explore your issues and make space for new insights, understanding and self-acceptance.
I prioritise cultural competence and work in an affirmative and inclusive way, with a special interest in Identity. I integrate different modes of therapy in order to adapt our sessions to your individual needs. My aim is to give you the space to feel genuinely heard and accepted, and to empower you to be your authentic self.
Next steps:
From the point of your enquiry, we can arrange a time to have an initial, free of charge conversation to discuss your needs and find out if we might be a good fit to work together. Please get in touch via email or phone to arrange this.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I currently work with adults through a National Online Counselling service, providing both Long-term therapy and Short-term support via Employee Assistance Programmes.

I have over 17 years of experience working as an Optometrist within both hospital and community settings.
