COUNSELLING
I am an integrative counsellor which means I offer a flexible approach drawing on different methods of counselling to suit your individual needs.
In counselling we can explore the challenges and difficult situations that arise in life. Sometimes it feels like these difficulties are preventing us from enjoying our lives, this is where counselling can be helpful.
I believe that identifying the root causes of our difficulties and behaviours can allow us the opportunity to make the changes necessary to lead happier and healthier lives.
As a counsellor I offer a warm, supportive, respectful environment which encourages self-acceptance and hope for building a happier life. My breadth of training and experience allows me to adapt to your individual needs as therapy progresses. We will work at a pace which suits you, allowing you the time and space to gain a deeper understanding and different perspectives of any area you’d like to explore.

NEXT STEPS
As I recognise that counselling can seem rather daunting, I offer a free 30min preliminary session via phone, online or in person to allow us time to discover if we feel happy working with each other.
We will then find a suitable time and location to book in for your first session. Counselling is a collaborative process so we will regularly review to ensure we are still working towards your needs as they change and develop with the process of therapy.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our lives can sometimes feel overwhelming, leading to anxiety, stress and depression, or you may be facing a crisis or major change such as a medical diagnosis, bereavement, divorce or trauma. I can provide a safe, confidential place for us to explore together your issues and concerns. We will focus on how you live your life, what it is like to be you, explore your patterns of behaviour, inner resources and strengths, in order to help you develop greater self-awareness which can lead to increased well-being and possibilities for change and empowerment.

I have a particular interest in working with Autistic adults, either diagnosed in childhood, later in life or anyone questioning or discovering their own neuro-divergence or that of a family member, friend or partner.

Experience

I have worked as a Volunteer counsellor at Petersfield counselling service and as a Bereavement counsellor at St. Michaels hospice.

I have experience working with both short term and long term counselling.
