MNCPS (Accred) Dip. Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I’m a Person-Centred and Existentialist Humanistic Therapist, borrowing from other modalities when appropriate. My clients come from a wide spectrum of ages and backgrounds because I specialise in Otherness, the alienating experience of feeling radically different to everyone else around us. Being an Other can happen to anyone, and it’s often traumatic.
I’m trained and experienced in helping young people (13+) and adults who are struggling with their mental health, and in gently assisting them in their search for the roots of those feelings. I work closely with LGBTQ+ folk, and with those who are and/or love neurodivergent people (Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, etc). I also greatly enjoy working with those who feel contented and are curious about improving and enhancing their quality of life and wellbeing.
My practice is anti-oppressive, culturally attuned, neuro and gender affirmative and trauma-informed. We will use your personal values and beliefs as our reference points during therapy, so that we can safely explore what’s going on for you using the most appropriate lens: your own.
I have been a school counsellor since 2020, which has helped inform my practice in truly understanding exam, Year 11 and GCSE anxiety, as well as other specific teenage stressors. I have also worked in local mental health charities, which has broadened my experience with trauma and acute crisis in people of all ages. I’m bilingual, and able to work with clients in both English and Spanish.
