As a psychodynamic therapist, I work with adults on an individual basis, with the aim to create a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can begin to explore how you are feeling. My approach centres around considering why it is you feel the way you do, whether that is anxious, low, overwhelmed or something completely different. Together we can begin to explore these feelings, and how your past may be impacting your here and now so that you can better understand your patterns of behaviour and gain more control over the life you want.
I have experience of working with a range of clients and therefore understand each person is an individual with individual needs. I offer open-ended therapy that caters to what you bring into the sessions.
I have experience working with anxiety, low mood, stress, post-natal depression and bereavement, as well as supporting people through life transitions such as becoming a parent or experiencing loss. I have also worked with clients who wish to explore questions around identity, self-worth, or possible diagnoses including ADHD, autism, or borderline personality disorder, particularly where these impact emotional wellbeing and relationships.
I am a registered member of the BACP and have regular supervision.
Experience
I have worked for 2 years at The Pinnah (previously Hope Clinic) in Buckhurst Hill, London. I also volunteer at Connect Counselling, Camberley.
