Sandra Angus
MBACP FdSc Counsellor
I work with adults and young people over 18 offering personalised and confidential support with stress, various anxiety conditions, depression, low mood, and low self-esteem.
I am a registered member of the BACP. Alongside supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression and stress, I specialise in working with young adults to explore questions around identity and purpose, and the direction they want their lives to take. If you are struggling to find your path, to make meaningful decisions, or to build a life that feels authentic to you, we can work together to help you move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.
I am an integrative therapist, drawing on person-centred and psychodynamic theories to tailor my approach to meeting your needs as an individual.
Building a relationship of trust and understanding is central to our work together. I can offer you a confidential space where you can step away from the demands and expectations of your everyday life, reconnect with your authentic self and rediscover what matters most to you. I work with kindness, compassion and respect for your autonomy. My aim is to collaborate with you to understand the challenges you are facing and support you in finding greater clarity and confidence, and a path towards the life you want to create.
Experience
My experience includes supporting clients with challenges such as anxiety, depression, loss, and life transitions through the Affordable Counselling Service at The Eaves.
Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked in the legal field for many years and practised as a private client lawyer for more than a decade. My background has given me a real understanding of the pressures and expectations that can come with professional and corporate life and how this can affect wellbeing. I bring those insights into my counselling work to offer a supportive space for individuals managing the challenges of modern life.
