PGDip Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

I support people who feel stuck in recurring patterns of anxiety, difficult relationships, and low self-esteem. You may find yourself feeling reactive, easily triggered, overly self-critical, or exhausted from trying to manage everything alone. Whether these challenges have been present for many years or have been triggered by a recent life event such as a breakup, becoming a parent, a change in work, or a loss, my aim is to help you feel calmer, more grounded, and more able to reclaim your life from anxiety and unhelpful patterns.

I am a qualified, BABCP-accredited therapist with many years of experience supporting people to make meaningful and lasting change. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, and difficulties in relationships, work, and home life. Clients often describe me as compassionate, insightful, and practical, helping them to understand long-standing patterns that have kept them stuck, and supporting them to feel less triggered and more able to respond with awareness, choice, and self-compassion. This work allows clients to reconnect with themselves and what truly matters.

My approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and tailored to you. I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and somatic approaches to help you manage thoughts, emotions, and the physical symptoms of anxiety such as tension, fatigue, or overwhelm. We will always discuss and agree on the interventions we use so you feel safe and comfortable. Alongside healing, I focus on helping you move forward by building confidence, resilience, and practical tools so you can reclaim a life that feels balanced, meaningful, and aligned with who you are and the life you want to live.

Experience

I have over 15 years of clinical experience supporting people to change deeply ingrained habits and patterns that affect their mental health, relationships, and sense of self. I have worked in a wide range of settings including prisons, community services, GP services, and inpatient care. This variety of experience means I am comfortable working with complexity and with patterns that have often been present for many years.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience working privately online with clients from around the world. I regularly support people with attachment and relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and low mood. Many of the people I work with are insightful and self-aware, yet still find themselves repeating the same reactions, choices, or emotional cycles despite knowing better.

Whilst I have worked extensively in mental health and am a qualified therapist, I have also completed a Somatic Attachment Therapy certificate, which informs the way I help clients notice and shift patterns held in both mind and body. My experience has particularly shaped my ability to work with people who feel stuck, even when they can clearly see the patterns they want to change. I help clients not only understand their thoughts and behaviours but also take practical steps to shift them, enabling meaningful and lasting change.
