MBACP Psychotherapist

I am a woman, that is Indian by ethnicity, who has lived in Spain and resides currently in the UK.

My speciality is in Domestic Abuse and Black Asian Ethnic Minority (which means I am a culturally competent therapist).
My diploma approach is to work as Person Centred (which means that the client is the most important person in the therapy, not the therapist, you hold all the answers within you, you just lost your way in a labyrinth of choices and the weather that you are trapped in is not the most suitable, your therapist will give you some different points/tools that are beneficial and work too!) and Existentialist Psychotherapist (questions that you might ask yourself more than once in different stages in your life: Who am I? What is my purpose in life? I am at this stage in life and look at me I have not achieved this and that….hey time is running out I am older and what about death? Responsibility VS Freedom, and the last bit, Loneliness) in the UK. I follow the ethical framework of BACP since 2015, and I am an individual member of the BACP, (I have a registration number that if you want to ever ask you are more than welcome to inquire).

Now, I will tell you why I started working as a private therapist:

I love the genuine relationship that another adult develops with another human being which is honest, respectful, safe, in a non-judgmental space and the therapy is tailored to each individual adult depending on where you want to find clarity and direction.

I have experience working with life changes, depression, anxiety (including panic attacks), trauma, C/PTSD, living with chronic illnesses, existential crisis, parenting, divorce, toxic relationships, and boundaries: using different approaches that are tailored to you: CBT, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness, grief/loss therapy

What makes me different?

I can speak four languages: Spanish, English, Hindi, Sindhi.

Because of my cultural background (being raised with Indian values) in a western world, in this case, Spain.

When I was a child until the age of 21, I followed the traditions as my parents guided me.

I rediscovered myself at the age of 30, a divorced Indian woman, who is a mum of 3 kids, living in the UK. It felt so scary, I did not have a script to follow, but hey! I had choices and freedom to live according to my own personal compass (I found the whole list of Human Rights) and the slogan (that my therapist got me inspired) “Rebels change the world”

I would like to say that I am down to earth and I know how difficult life can be sometimes. Having my own life experience, (not just the theory) has made me learn how to use the tools that I will be providing you with (you might like them or not, but let’s discuss it)

I had been a client myself in a therapy room and I found it really difficult to overcome my own demons and clear the skeletons from mind, heart and soul!

So when you and I decide to work together I will be able to provide you with active listening and empathy skills, to make sure that you feel comfortable to heal, to learn, to discover… wherever you want to go, I will honour to work with you, I will commit, honesty and respect towards you.
