Sally Salmon
MBACP, PGDip Counsellor, Psychotherapist
Life throws us challenges all the time, from daily situations to deal with to life-changing events. These experiences make up who we are but sometimes they can be difficult to deal with and can leave us feeling ‘out of sorts’ or perhaps in conflict with how we want to be. It is in these moments that we might reach out for some extra support.
I support a wide-range of people helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, long term illness and pain, and dealing with relationships with ourselves, others and the wider society.
I also have a specialist interest in supporting parents through burnout from supporting children who have anxiety around attending school and who might fall under the term Emotionally Based School Avoidant (EBSA).
Whatever your situation might be, I offer a safe and open space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions and experience. My approach is rooted in empathy, non-judgement and compassion, ensuring that you feel heard, understood and support throughout. I believe it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship that can support and provide you with the awareness to enable change and growth.
Experience
I’ve worked within the mental health charity sector supporting clients with issues such as grief and loss, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, neurodiversity, loneliness, gender identity.
