Metanoia/UKCP Dip Integrative Psychotherapist

Trainee Integrative Psychotherapist · she/her

Hello, I’m Fiona a trainee Integrative Psychotherapist (UKCP). I work with adults. I offer a warm, relational and trauma-informed space where we can explore your emotional world together at a pace that feels safe for you.

MSc Integrative Psychotherapy

I’m currently training at Metanoia Institute with a transtheoretical approach. This training allows me to adapt to my clients’ needs.
Signed Off to Practice

I’m in full compliance with UKCP and Metanoia Institute requirements.

Maybe you are ready to see things differently? Instead of looking for what’s wrong, we can wonder about what happened and is happening in your life.

Integrative: Relational: Trauma Informed: Inclusive.

We will, together develop our work to be tailored to your needs, drawing across theories and techniques rather than fixed to one therapeutic approach.

I have a particular interest in attachment, developmental and relational trauma that come from difficult relational dynamics. Key to my practice is building on the therapeutic potential of the relationship between us to notice and shift patterns.

I work towards an inclusive, anti-discriminatory practice and I will ask about your specific social, cultural, learning and physical needs when we meet.

I aim to be compassionate, without judgement — always happy to learn and change with you.

Therapeutic Focus

My personal work experience feeds my interest in working with the impact of stress (with and without trauma), attachment, developmental and relational trauma arising from difficult family and other relational dynamics.

Experience

I have worked in many roles as a manager, supporting people in their work and I have a good understanding of work related issues from this perspective. In previous roles I have worked directly supporting people with lived experience of mental health difficulties in accommodation services, and working with people with experience of domestic abuse in Refuge and Outreach services. I am experienced in working with the issues that come alongside these, such as anxiety, low self esteem, shame and guilt, self harming behaviours, including substance misuse, and working with adult and child safeguarding processes.
