Megan Shakesheff
DClinPsy Psychologist
Over the last 15 years I have worked with individuals across the life span with a range of presenting issues.
Within my NHS work I am a specialist psychologist working with young people and their families diagnosed with paediatric conditions (including Type 1 Diabetes, gastroenterology conditions, persistent physical symptoms).
Within my private practice, I work with young people and adults who are seeking psychological therapy because they feel stuck for a range of different reasons. We can all get caught up situations/dynamics that stops us living the life we want to live and being the version of our self that we want to be. Whether these difficulties exist in our relationships with partners, friends, children, parents, or in our work/school environments are triggering difficult feelings. Often our minds get stuck in rigid and automatic ways of thinking, feeling or responding and it can be hard going and frustrating. I work with individuals who are looking to further their understanding of these patterns and explore ways to move forward.
