Sally Beckers
MBACP Counsellor
I am truly sorry for your bereavement or significant loss. It can shake your sense of safety, identity, relationships, and direction. From my own personal and professional experience, I also know grief can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating.
You may be experiencing sadness, anger, guilt, regret, relief, anxiety or a deep sense of emptiness. Perhaps you’re managing day-to-day on the outside, but inside it feels heavy and exhausting.
Whatever you are feeling, there is nothing ‘wrong’ with you. You are demonstrating your love for someone or something that is truly important to you.
I offer a confidential, empathetic and non-judgemental space where you can:
- Speak openly about your thoughts and emotions
- Feel heard, understood, and accepted
- Normalise your grief and emotional responses
- Make sense of complex or conflicting feelings
- Reduce emotional distress
- Explore healthy coping strategies
- Regain a sense of control and stability
- Rebuild confidence, inner resilience, and self-worth
- Adjust to a ‘new normal’ at your own pace
Grief can arise from many experiences, not just death. I work with loss related to:
- Loved ones or pets
- Divorce, separation or friendship breakdowns
- Miscarriage, stillbirth or baby loss
- Chronic illness, cancer or dementia
- Independence, identity, job or financial changes
- Faith, trust, culture or life transitions
- Sentimental or symbolic losses
Whatever your bereavement or loss, you may experience symptoms of grief that affect your daily functioning, relationships, emotions, decision-making, mind, body and overall wellbeing – whatever you feel is valid.
