DClinPsy Clinical Psychologist

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist offering professional therapeutic support to adults and young people aged 16 and above. I can offer time-limited interventions or longer-term therapy for anybody who: has experienced trauma; is living with anxiety or depression; is navigating grief or loss; is adjusting to significant life changes.

My core modality is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy, using evidence-based methods to help clients re-process traumatic memories and move toward a more positive and grounded future. Alongside EMDR, I offer CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and a range of third-wave approaches, including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CFT (Compassion Focussed Therapy). I also draw on systemic principles, considering the broader contexts and relationships that shape a person’s unique experiences of life. These perspectives help to guide a shared formulation/ understanding of the current difficulties, as well as the choice of interventions that will best support you in reaching your goals.

Traumatic experiences can leave even the most resilient person feeling disconnected from who they want to be. With a therapy plan tailored to your needs, we will work together to build a clearer understanding of your distress, process traumatic memories, and develop practical strategies for managing life’s challenges.

I believe that having a clear focus in therapy is essential. In our work together, I will encourage you to identify meaningful goals so that our sessions are purposeful and productive. A strong therapeutic relationship is central to effective therapy. I offer an approach characterised by warmth and compassion, in order to create a safe, supportive space where you can reflect on your experiences, explore new perspectives, and develop improved ways of coping.
