Supportive Yoga Workshop for Anxiety & Stress

Saturday 6th June 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

£30
Woman practising seated meditation during a yoga workshop for anxiety support at The Eaves Academy Farnham.

This gentle two-hour workshop offers a calm, supportive space to help you better understand and manage anxiety, stress and feelings of overwhelm through accessible mindfulness and yoga-based practices.

Designed with a counselling setting in mind, the session focuses on building awareness rather than “fixing”. You’ll be invited to explore how anxiety and stress show up in the body and mind, learn about the nervous system and be introduced to the Window of Tolerance. All supporting a greater sense of steadiness and self-understanding.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll be guided through simple breathwork, mindfulness and gentle somatic movement to support grounding and regulation. All practices are offered with an emphasis on safety, choice and moving at your own pace. Participants are always free to opt out or rest at any time.

The approach is compassionate and non-judgemental, working with the body rather than against it, and recognising anxiety as a natural human response.

This Workshop Will Include

  • A clearer understanding of anxiety and how the nervous system responds to stress
  • An introduction to the Window of Tolerance
  • Practical breathing and grounding techniques
  • Gentle tools to support regulation and self-awareness
  • Printed take-home resources to support your continued practice

Research suggests that practices such as yoga, mindful movement and breath awareness can help regulate the stress response and support resilience over time. This workshop offers a gentle starting point, supporting you to reconnect with your body and develop simple, supportive tools you can return to in everyday life.
