Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps people respond more effectively to difficult thoughts, emotions and life challenges.
ACT is a form of cognitive behavioural therapy that supports individuals to relate differently to challenging thoughts, feelings and symptoms. Rather than attempting to eliminate these experiences, the aim is to accept them while committing to actions that promote a meaningful and fulfilling life.
What You’ll Gain From This CPD:
- A clear understanding of the ACT model
- Insight into how the mind can unintentionally contribute to distress
- Practical strategies for managing difficult thoughts and emotions
- A compassionate, values-based framework for change that does not rely on “fixing” yourself
