What The Eaves expects from you:
To work safely and ethically with clients
To engage in the learning offered by the Supervisor. Please note that Supervision is a mandatory requirement of the placement. Two missed supervision sessions within 6 months will result in placement termination.
Our Affordable Counselling Service falls under The Eaves’ umbrella. Therefore, external supervision is to be used as a supplement only not to be a direct replacement for the supervision we provide. If you have any questions, please speak to the placement coordinator or practice manager.
To present a friendly and professional image of The Eaves to affiliates, clients and members of staff.
To work one shift per week on reception with occasional administrative duties. (Evening/Saturday and practice to be agreed with placement manager). You will only be expected to take occasional telephone messages but will be front of house to greet clients. Any time on the desk can be used for personal study and you will have access to a computer to do so.
Criteria
In order to be considered for a placement our requirements are that you:
Are working towards a minimum level 4 diploma
Are available to attend group supervision on a Friday either 10am-1pm or 1pm-3pm at our Farnham practice.
Are not currently on another placement.
Are on a recognised course (Please note that we are unable to accept applications from those that are on Chrysalis courses due to our internal requirements).
Can do one reception duty per week 17:00 – 21:00 weekdays or 09:00 – 13:00 Saturdays at one of our practices (Guildford, Godalming, Farnham or Haslemere).
Are able to provide evidence for an Enhanced DBS check to be carried out.
