Our Practitioners - Profile Back to Search
It is completely understandable that taking that first step to seeing a counsellor can feel daunting, which is why my holding of your emotions starts from the second we speak. I am trained in the Person-centred approach, a type of counselling which means we work with what’s going on for you in the ‘here and now’ but not neglecting, nor dismissing, the fact that we are made up of our life’s past experiences.
My approach is one of compassion, empathy, acceptance and non-judgement. I have a warm, calm nature which allows my clients to be heard fully and openly. I strongly believe that you are the expert in your life, not me. I don’t offer solutions but rather I am the co-pilot in our therapeutic relationship, helping you to navigate your way through your thoughts and gently challenging you in a way that will give you a greater understanding of what is going on for you.
My specialist interest is grief and bereavement work.
