Do you feel like life is too difficult at the moment and you don’t know why? Therapy can help you discover how to find a way out and live a life that you enjoy.
You may be struggling in your relationships and not knowing how to have “healthy” relationships with others. Maybe you feel like you don’t deserve to be happy. Or perhaps you are stuck in a pattern of negative thinking and not sure how to get out of it.
Therapy can help you get through difficult life moments by:
• Talking though you feelings, problems and worries without fear of being judged. This way you can have some deeper understanding of what is going on and how to implement change
• Understanding triggers so you can find ways to cope with life difficulties
• Learning how you relate to others so you can have a better understanding of your relationships and what you can do to improve them.
I feel very passionate about my job, I feel privileged to have the opportunity to listen and do what I can to help others. I enjoy working with people because I understand that we all go though very difficult times in our lives and I believe we all deserve help and support. I am particularly interested in working with people who are becoming adults and struggling to navigate through adulthood and balancing all the difficulties that young people are facing nowadays. I believe that young people are facing many difficulties that are unique to their times (i.e. covid, social media) and sometimes their problems are misunderstood or brushed over by society.
Since becoming a therapist, I have done training in suicide and self harm awareness and I am currently undertaking training in systemic therapy.
I currently work online, and I have day and evening availability. Sessions last 50 minutes and are normally on a weekly basis. The number of sessions will be individual for each person; I am happy to work on a short or long-term basis, and we can review this as we go.
Please feel free to contact me if you want to know more. I have a website that you are welcome to visit if you would like.
I have been working as a volunteer counsellor at Number 22, both online and in person, since 2021, first as a trainee, and now as a fully qualified counsellor. At Number 22 I have worked with people from different ages and cultural backgrounds. I have worked with people struggling with anxiety, suicidal thoughts, family trauma, abuse, relationship issues, low self-esteem etc.
I also have experience working in a primary school setting providing support to children experiencing learning difficulties, abuse and various diagnoses related to learning difficulties and ASD.
