Hello, I’m Donnah and I’m an Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, qualified to work with individuals.
Welcome to my page. How are you today?
Whether this is your first time looking for a counsellor, or you have received therapy in the past, reaching out for support can seem daunting, but I can provide a stable environment for you to make sense of your issues and challenges. Empathy and acceptance without judgement, are central to my counselling approach. I provide a safe, calm and confidential space for you to explore your difficulties at your pace. Ultimately, to help make sense of your situation, with a view to fostering autonomy for positive change.
I am trained Integratively, which means I combine several approaches to suit each client individually. Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT and Transactional Analysis are central to much of my work, with an emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients.
I offer face-to-face sessions on a weekly basis. These can be arranged over a fixed number of weeks, or they can be ongoing and open-ended.
I have experience working with adults of all ages and young people aged 11-18 years, within a variety of different organisations including:- NHS, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, MumsAid, Sutton Women’s Centre, Catch 22 – Young People’s Health Agency, IAPT & The Awareness Centre and more recently with Frontline 19 – a charity providing counselling for NHS staff directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
