About Me

I am a chartered clinical psychologist providing psychological assessment, therapy and consultation in the Surrey and South West London areas. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy), a Masters in Health Psychology (MSc), and an undergraduate degree in Psychology (BA). I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I specialise in working with people experiencing distress around eating, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and associated body image issues. I also work extensively with adults and young people with a range of emotional difficulties and personal issues.

I enjoy working with clients and supporting them towards their desired goals and objectives. I take a non-judgemental stance and aim to help clients discover their own strengths and resilience from within to enable them move forward in their lives.

Sometimes talking to a professional can help us during difficult periods of our lives – it can help us make sense of things, feel less alone, and find ways to move forward. I endeavour to work with clients to understand what is going on that has led them to seek help. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches in order to identify unhelpful patterns and coping strategies that might be contributing to distress and work collaboratively with the client to start the process of change. Evidence-based approaches that I regularly draw on include:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Schema-Focused Therapy
  • Mindfulness
  • Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT)
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
