DESCRIPTION:Join Natalie for this Experiential Trauma-Informed Somatic & Polyvagal Training for Safe Therapeutic Practice.\nThis one day experiential CPD training will explores trauma-informed somatic practice through a polyvagal lens\, supporting practitioners to work more safely and confidently with nervous system activation in clinical and relational spaces. \nGrounded in nervous system awareness and embodied practice\, the training explores how to support trauma work without overwhelming or re-traumatising clients. \nThe following key topics will be explored:\n\nTrauma through a somatic lens\nProcedural memory and embodied survival responses\nFight\, flight\, freeze and shutdown states\nPolyvagal-informed practice\nNeuroception\nThe autonomic hierarchy\nCo-regulation\nReciprocity\nTriggers and glimmers\nThe vagal brake\nTherapist nervous system regulation\nWindow of tolerance\nTitration and pacing\nRelational safety and embodied therapeutic presence\nPractical somatic interventions and nervous system tools\n\nTraining Style:\nThis is a gentle\, experiential and reflective training combining: \n\nTeaching\nEmbodied exercises\nGuided reflection\nPaired practice\nClinical discussion\nPractical application\n\nThe training is intentionally paced with nervous system safety in mind. However\, it is particularly suited to practitioners who feel aligned with: \n\nRelational practice\nEmbodied approaches\nNervous system-informed work\nTrauma-sensitive practice\n\nLearning Outcomes\nBy the end of the training participants will feel more able to: \n\nRecognise nervous system states in themselves and others\nWork more safely with trauma activation\nStay grounded and regulated during sessions\nSupport co-regulation and felt safety\nIntegrate somatic awareness into their existing practice\nPace trauma work more slowly and safely\n\nParticipants Will Receive\n\n8-hour CPD Certificate\nTraining handouts and nervous system resources\nPractical worksheets and reflection exercises\nSomatic tools for integration into practice\n\nFacilitator  \nNatalie McIvor is an integrative psychotherapist and somatic alignment practitioner who believes that healing begins when we come home to our bodies. Her work weaves together talking therapy\, breath\, movement and attunement\, helping clients move out of their heads and into embodied safety. Natalie supports people in recognising dysregulation\, grounding the nervous system and rediscovering what it feels like to live with balance\, presence and flow.
